I'm of strong convictions that it's precisely due to the intolerant, backward, and malicious teachings by these Wahhabi preachers of hate such as Ben Laden and his cohorts, Bilal Philips et all, that our Muslim Community is so deeply plunged into the abyss of sociopolitical crises at the dawn of 21st century. Bilal Philips' ridiculing of Sufis and Shias below is yet another undeniable proof of Wahhabi intolerant and narrow views vis-a-vis the majority of tolerant Muslims who strongly reject and condemn a fanatic Islamic Sect,"Wahhabis" that's falsely portraying our faith of peace and submission to righteousness, Islam, as an intolerant dogma bent on destroying anything and anyone not being in accordance with their fanatical Wahhabi Teachings.
I'm also of strong convictions that law abiding, God loving, and tolerant Muslims have a moral and Islamic obligation to not only condemn and reject the fanatical ideologies of these pseudo-Islamic sects such as Wahhabis who are using our Faith as a tool to promote their own intolerant agenda, but must also encourage a rational and humanistic look at Islam, thus preventing young Muslims from being lured and fanaticized by these preachers of hate through their blind and dogmatic readings of Quranic verses, and quoting Quranic Passages out of context to justify their atrocities.
The true Islam that's being practiced by billions of God loving and tolerant Muslims around the world is not about chopping hands and feet, killing innocent people, or blind hatred of Jews and Christians.The true Islam is about love, mercy, peace, compassion, moderation, tolerance, humanity, and above all, it's about a Muslim's never ending pursuit for his/her moral perfections.
