During his musical studies in Berlin (1966-71) Hassan Dyck began an interest in Indo-oriental music. He spent six months in India to teach Western-European music there, and to study simultaneously with Ustad Vilayat Khan. He also appeared with the Delhi Symphony Orchestra. In 2000, Hassan Dyck, a member of the Italian-German formation Fana, combined Western music with elements of the spiritual tradition of the Sufism, and was accompanied during their performances by a group of "Whirling dervishes. Shaykh Hassan Dyck & Muhabat Caravan(Caravan Of Love) are constantly touring around the world, and in addition to introducing Sufi music, they also teach the audience the religious and cultural backgrounds of Sufism.
