"German born Cellist, Shaykh Hassan Dyck, the leading representative of Haqqai Sufi Order in Germany, is an authentic example of the Sufi mystical expressions and the universal outreach of Sufi traditions.




During his musical studies in Berlin (1966-71) Hassan Dyck began an interest in Indo-oriental music. He spent six months in India to teach Western-European music there, and to study simultaneously with Ustad Vilayat Khan. He also appeared with the Delhi Symphony Orchestra. In 2000, Hassan Dyck, a member of the Italian-German formation Fana, combined Western music with elements of the spiritual tradition of the Sufism, and was accompanied during their performances by a group of "Whirling dervishes. Shaykh Hassan Dyck & Muhabat Caravan(Caravan Of Love) are constantly touring around the world, and in addition to introducing Sufi music, they also teach the audience the religious and cultural backgrounds of Sufism. The Sufi scholar Shaykh Hassan Dyck and his backing band Caravan Of Love act with violin, percussion, jaw harp, didgeridoo, and the master himself at Campunala, a kind of cello.. "
